• 1 baguette , preferably multi-grained, halved horizontally
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil , for drizzle
  • 2 large tomatoes , sliced
  • 1 lb mozzarella cheese , sliced
  • 1 pinch dried oregano
  • 12 fresh basil leaves (to your taste)
  • 1 avocado , sliced
  • salt and pepper , to taste
  • 1 Grill or broil baguette bread halves until toasted; drizzle both halves with olive oil. Layer with tomato, salt, pepper, Mozzarella cheese, sprinkle with dried Oregano, then more olive oil, salt and pepper, top with fresh basil leaves, avocadoes and more salt and pepper. Close the sandwich, slice and serve.
