• 1 quantity Basic butter biscuit dough (see related recipe)
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup sultanas
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Follow steps 1 to 2 for making Basic butter biscuit dough. Reserve 1 1/2 tablespoons rolled oats. Add remaining rolled oats, sultanas and milk to dough. Stir until well combined.
  • Using 1 heaped tablespoon of mixture at a time, roll mixture into balls. Place on lined baking trays. Using the heel of your hand, flatten biscuits to about 4cm in diameter (allow room for spreading). Lightly brush biscuit tops with cold water and sprinkle with reserved oats.
  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, swapping trays over in oven after 10 minutes, or until light golden. Allow biscuits to cool on trays for 5 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Serve.
